Historic Valdosta was happy to make a contribution to the Crescent’s preservation efforts. Built in 1898, The Crescent is one of Valdosta’s most treasured landmarks and the jewel of our city. Saved from demolition in the 1950s by the Valdosta Garden Club, The Crescent remains a powerful example of what community-led preservation can accomplish.
Thank you to the devoted volunteers who generously give their time to maintain the house and its beautiful gardens. The Crescent is currently raising funds to restore its original leaded glass windows, with window-naming opportunities available for those who wish to play a role in preserving this historic home.
In October, The Crescent partnered with Historic Valdosta to host The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation Fall Ramble, helping raise awareness and support for Valdosta’s historic resources on a statewide level.
In addition to its rich history, this gorgeous property is also available for event rentals, offering a truly special setting for weddings, gatherings, and community celebrations.
