The long-awaited – COVID delayed – 40th-anniversary Annual Dinner is May 4, 2023, 6:00 p.m. at the newly renovated McKey Building on the corner of Patterson Street and Central Avenue – 133 North Patterson Street – above GUD Coffee. The evening will celebrate Valdosta historic preservation with live Jazz, dinner and a special presentation titled “The McKey and the McKeys” by Donald Davis. Dinner Tickets are $50 each and Annual Membership may be renewed at event. Cash Bar Available. We will be just across from the Historic Courthouse, which is undergoing a complete renovation scheduled for completion in June. Tickets are available on Eventbrite. Everyone is welcomed to purchase tickets – Membership is not required.
The Lloyd Greer Design Tour is on May 13, 2023. Tickets and details are available on Eventbrite and at Curate, located at 134 North Patterson Street in Historic Downtown Valdosta. Tour begins at the Lowndes County Historical Society & Museum, 305 West Central Avenue, with information packets. All proceeds will benefit the Wisenbaker-Wells-Roberts House Renovation Project.
